Screening of speech
As a creative means in art, destruction as a live action, as an act of depicting destruction, as an attempt to attack the fine arts or as an integration of found, worn or destroyed objects is still very young. Almost from the start, film art and expanded cinema were considered, especially when you think of the participants in the legendary Destruction in Art Symposium in 1966 in London.
The film programme brings together works that aggressively influence foreign or own film material: Lurf, Fruhauf, Sharits and Tscherkassky. Vrba, Ventzislavova, Schwentner and Walkowiak express their anger more cautiously, but still land their attack clearly. (Brigitta Burger-Utzer, sixpackfilm 2020)
